Lauren Kennedy is in her third year with the Cal Lutheran Track and Field program after serving as a graduate assistant in 2014. Kennedy's primary focus is on the 100/110 meter hurdles and assists with sprints. In her second year, she coached hurdler Trever Wood to a SCIAC conference championship; including a top 10 finish in the CLU record books for Wood and female hurdler Savannah Sipes.
Kennedy graduated from CLU in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, while competing for the Regal's track team all four years as a hurdler and sprinter. She has recently completed her Master's in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business from CLU. She currently works full time at the biotech company Amgen in Newbury Park, while pursuing her passion for coaching and mentoring student-athletes.
During her running career, Kennedy broke the school record in the 100 meter hurdles (14.80s) in 2012, the same year that the Regals were SCIAC Co-Champions for the first time in school history. In 2013 Kennedy traveled to La Crosse, Wis. as an alternate for the 4x100 meter relay team at the NCAA Division III National Championships.
