Three Earn NCAA Division III Championship Spots

Announced over the weekend by the NCAA, three Cal Lutheran track and field members from the combined men’s and women’s teams earned spots among the nation’s best as the trio will compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships from May 26-28, 2016 at Walston-Hoover Stadium on the campus of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

CLU Hosts 13th Scholar-Athlete Society Induction

Throughout the school year, much of the day-to-day focus is directed towards the successes of the Cal Lutheran athletics programs, but on Saturday, May 7, a group of 150 student-athletes, with their families and friends, gathered inside of the Gilbert Arena for the 13th CLU Scholar-Athlete Society Induction ceremony where academics were praised.

Last Chance Qualifier for CLU Complete

On Wednesday and Thursday, members of the women’s track and field teams travelled to the Redlands Last Chance Qualifier to compete at the Ashel Cunningham Track inside of Ted Runner Stadium for the final regular season meet of the spring.

Eight Regals Awarded All-SCIAC

Officially announced by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) office recently, the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team had eight members represented on the All-SCIAC team for their performance at the 2016 SCIAC Track and Field Championships.

For the second straight week, the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team traveled to Occidental College, this time to compete in the Occidental Invitational against a host of tough competition including Olympic athletes and Division I opponents.

Hadley Wins Javelin on First Day of SCIAC Championships

On the first day of the 2016 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships hosted by Caltech, the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team qualified six Regals for finals on Saturday while senior Allie Hadley won her fourth consecutive conference Javelin title.

Regals Track & Field Moves into Top 25 in USTFCCCA Poll

Announced earlier this week by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team has moved into the Top 25 of the Division III poll with a No. 22 ranking.

Regals Round Out SCIAC Multi-Duals With 3-1 Showing

The third and final SCIAC Multi-Dual meet of the season was a successful one for the Cal Lutheran women’s track team as the Regals went 3-1, defeating Chapman, host La Verne and Pomona-Pitzer while falling to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Regals Compete in Rain at Pomona-Pitzer Invitational

Taking a break from Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on Saturday, the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team competed at Strehle Track for the fourth time this season all while battling the rain in the 30th Annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
