GENEVA, Ohio – Today at the SPIRE Institute for the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Track & Field National Championship, Cal Lutheran jumper Kendall Guidetti competed on the national stage for the first time.

The freshman from Oak Park, Calif. faced heavy rains as she stepped up on the Long Jump runway, completing three attempts in her final meet of the season. Guidetti recorded a pair of identical 5.06m jumps on her first and second attempts to mark her best showing of the day. The first year competitor placed 22nd.

The 2017 Long Jump national champion is Amber Williams (Wisconsin-Platteville).

Though Guidetti is done for the season, the three-day meet, which is being hosted by Mount Union and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, continues through Saturday.
