Danielle Mooshagian knew it was her last chance. The Cal Lutheran senior
had one year of college remaining, and she didn't want to leave without
being a part of a team.
Swimmer Mimi Harbach, along with divers Sheyenne Machida and Danielle
Mooshagian earned All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(SCIAC) Team honors, announced on Thursday.
Tuesday marked the conclusion of the SCIAC Swimming & Diving
Championships at the South Gate Swim Stadium. The Cal Lutheran women's team
finished in fifth place in both the final over team standings and at the championship
meet.
Cal Lutheran freshman Mimi Harbach won the 400-yard individual medley on
Monday night at the SCIAC Championships. She won the event by over four full
seconds and earned an NCAA Provisional Cut qualifying time in the process.
Following Sunday's SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championship finals the Cal
Lutheran men's team ranks third, and the women's team sixth out of the eight
team field.
Danielle Mooshagian and Sheyenne Machida each earned podium finishes
during
Saturday's SCIAC Championship diving competitions. Both turned in their
own third place results on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, respectively.
Four Cal Lutheran divers concluded Sunday's SCIAC Preliminary competition by
qualifying for the conference finals. Sheyenne Machida broke the school scoring
record on the 1-meter board while finishing third overall.
Sheyenne Machida finished in fifth place on Saturday during the women's
3-meter diving preliminary competition at the Thompson Aquatics Center. Ryan
Brem, Drake Hunter, and Kevin Schultz earned the final three of the eight
qualifying spots for the conference championships on the 1-meter board.
Cal Lutheran swimmer Mimi Harbach was voted the Southern California
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Female Athlete of the Week,
announced on Tuesday.
