Frank Marino has served as the Head Coach of the Cal Lutheran women's soccer program during the last two seasons.
In 2010, Marino's squad captured the program's first SCIAC championship
since 2002, and led the team back to the NCAA postseason for the first
time in three years.
In just his second year at the helm he guided the Regals to an 18-win season, the most in program history.
That season, six players received National Soccer Coaches Association of
America (NSCAA) All-West Region recognition, five earned all-SCIAC
honors, with junior midfielder Sinead Vaughan named SCIAC Player of the
Year in addition to receiving All-American accolades.
Marino has also been the head of the girl's soccer program at Westlake
High School where he has posted a 140-36-35 overall record since taking
over in 2000.
In 2003 he led the Warriors to their first-ever CIF title and recognized
as the CIF, Daily News and Marmonte League Coach of the Year. He was
again named Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
Since being at the helm at Westlake, Marino has led the Warriors to seven league championships and three second place finishes.
Marino earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of La Verne and a Master's degree in education.
He is married to his wife Megan and has a son, Merric, and two daughters, Makensey and Mariella.
In his spare time Frank enjoys playing golf, tennis and traveling.
