Regals Run To Fifth Place Tie

On the first Saturday of November beneath a cloudy sky, the Cal Lutheran women’s cross country team toed the line at the 2014 SCIAC Championships at Prado Park, running through a sloppy, muddy, course in some rain to finish 2-6 today, for a fifth place tie in the final league standings.

For the final time of the fall, the Cal Lutheran women’s cross country team toed the line against a field of mixed opponents as the final tune up before league competition begins. This morning at the Seventh Annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational the Regals combined to place 10th against a plethora of Division I, II, III and NAIA teams.

Coming off one of their best seasons in recent history, the Cal Lutheran women’s cross country team will look to build upon that success in 2014. Despite graduating All-American Melissa Skiba, the Regals will add five talented freshmen and one transfer to the mix of six returners.
