Regals Conclude Season at West Regionals

Erin MacNeil leads CLU with 25:48.5

Erin Knight was one of six Regals to compete in the West Regionals on Saturday morning.

SALEM, Ore. – On Saturday morning the Cal Lutheran Women’s cross country season came to a close after competing in the West Regional in Salem, Ore and finished 17th overall, defeating Pacific Lutheran and Mills in head-to-head matchups. The team was paced by Erin MacNeil who finished with a time of 25:48.5, and was followed closely by Sarah Parsons who clocked in with a final course time of 25:57.5. Rachel Ereso garnered the third position for the Violet and Gold with a time of 27:25.8

Also competing for the Regals were Erin Knight (27:32.9), Kylie Rodriguez (28:48.7), and Nicole Schedler (29:32.5)

Maya Weigel from Pomona-Pitzer claimed the individual title after completing the course in 21:33.8, winning by a nine second margin.

Whitworth took home the team title, after having four finish in the top 20 for a team average of 23:00. The NCAA Division III National Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov 19 at 11:00 a.m. in Louisville, Ky.
