Kali Bennett

Assistant Coach

Kali Bennett enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Cal Lutheran women's basketball team.

Bennett joins the Regals staff after playing professional basketball overseas. Most recently, Bennett played for the Norrkoping Dolphins in Sweden and the Otago Oceana Goldrush in New Zealand. During the 2012-13 season, Bennett spent time playing in Poland as a member of Matizol Lider Pruszkow and also competed as a member of the USA basketball team during their China Tour in the summer of 2012.

Bennett graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Design Studies and a Certificate in Creative Writing in 2012. While at Arizona State, Bennett was a three year member of the Sun Devils basketball team after transferring from the University of Washington. She holds the record for blocks in a season with 91 and in a game with 9. She is ranked second all-time in career blocks with 165.

"We are very fortunate to have Kali round out our coaching staff. Kali brings a wealth of playing experience that will be beneficial to our student-athletes," said head coach Lindsay Goldblatt.

Bennett began her prep career at nearby Ventura High School where she was a three-time Channel League Co-MVP and was named first team all-county three times.

She enjoys surfing and playing volleyball in her free time.
