The No. 4 Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team won its second Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) matchup of the season in a four-set, 3-1 (25-16, 22-25, 25-12, 25-18) victory against the Redlands Bulldogs on Tuesday night inside Currier Gym.

Regals Top Elmhurst; Fall Twice at Wittenberg Classic

The Wittenberg Fall Classic played host to a copious amount of tough competitors this weekend, including the No. 1 Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team. The Regals squared off against a trio of ranked teams, defeating No. 22 Elmhurst 3-1 before falling for the first time this season in a rematch of last year’s National Championship match against No. 8 Wittenberg. CLU closed out the tournament with a tough five-set loss against No. 19 Washington-St. Louis on Saturday afternoon.

Regals Top Poets in SCIAC Opener

In its first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) match and home opener the No. 1 Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team swept past the Whittier Poets 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-23).

Settles, Stewart Earn SCIAC AOW Honors

Announced on Monday afternoon by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Cal Lutheran student-athletes Hope Stewart of the No. 1 Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team and Ryley Settles of the No. 17 Cal Lutheran women’s soccer team earned Athlete of the Week for their respective sports for the week of Sept. 5-11.

Regals Go 4-0 at Cal Lu Fornia Invitational

The Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team hosted the Cal Lu Fornia Invitational this weekend, where the Regals were able to come out undefeated in all four contests defeating Puget Sound (Wash.), No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, East Texas Baptist and No. 6 Emory all by the score of 3-0.

Regals Take Four at Pacific Coast Classic

The defending national champion and No. 1 Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team started its season at the Pacific Coast Classic Tournament this weekend where the Regals finished with a four game, 12 set sweep defeating No. 10 Hendrix, Trinity (Tex.), Stevens and Cabrini.

Regals Get Back on Court to Defend Hardware

The Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team is coming off an NCAA Division III National Championship title and a sixth straight first place finish in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) in the 2015 season. The Regals, who start the year ranked No. 1 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Preseason Poll, look to make this season as successful as the last by returning 14 athletes while bringing in two freshmen and one sophomore transfer.

Additionally, the Violet and Gold secured the top spot in the first-year Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Preseason Poll announced today.

Regals Earn Fifth Straight AVCA Academic Award

Announced earlier this week, the National champion Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team earned its fifth straight American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. A total of 764 teams earned the prestigious honor for the 2015-16 season, setting a new all-time high after topping last year’s total of 757.
