CANBY, Ore. — Regals golf shot a two-round score of 81-over-par as they tallied a 326 over the first 18 holes and 331 in second at the Culturame Classic which was hosted by George Fox on Saturday and Sunday.
Tournament was at the Willamette Valley C.C., and had a Par of 72. Eight teams and 45 individuals competed in the 36-hole event. Cal Lutheran turned in their best finish of the fall season and claimed third. In all three fall tournaments, the Regals placed fourth or better.
Claire Cornejo led the way for the Regals and fired a score 16-over-par with 160 strokes and tied for 12th. She shot an 83 on day one and improved on day two with a 5-over-par 77 as she moved up four spots. She tied for the sixth-best scoring average at the tournament on Par 4 holes with 4.30 and and tied for the fourth-most birdies with three.
Brooke Logsdon was the second lowest-scoring Regal and finished 16th at 19-over-par with 163 strokes. She tallied a 78 on Saturday, but an 85 on Sunday as she dropped nine spots. She led the Regals with 20 Pars and tied for the fifth-best scoring average on Par 5s with 5.13.
Erica Mitchell made it three Regals in the top-20 as she tied for 17th at 20-over-par. She fired an 82 on both days and finished with 164 strokes. For the Violet and Gold, she had the best Par 3 scoring with 3.38 and totaled two birdies and 18 Pars.
The Culturame Classic was the final tournament for the Regals this fall. The Violet and Gold resume their season in the spring.
