THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The California Lutheran University men's swimming and diving squad picked up a dual-meet win on Senior Day, marking their final home meet of the season.
Cal Lutheran picked up 208 points to grab a landslide victory over Whittier, who tallied on 41 points on the day.
In the 1000-yard freestyle, the Kingsmen impressively swept the podium as Brewer took the top spot, Stephen Blaauw finished second and Winston Hewes slipped into third.
Blaauw continued his great day in the pool with a win in the 200-yard freestyle and McCallum showed out for his senior day with a successful second-place time of 1:47.51. CLU swept the podium yet again as Thomas Hamburger would earn himself a third-place finish in the event.
Rodarte and Brendan Fuggles would finish first and second respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke before Nybo would notch his second first-place finish of the day by taking the 200-yard butterfly.
McCallum impressed yet again with the top time in the 50-yard freestyle and Kenny would follow right behind him for second place. The two swimmers would swap places in the next event, the 100-yard freestyle, as Kenny took first and McCallum took second.
Nathan March got involved with a second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.
The Kingsmen took all three podium spots yet again in the 500-yard freestyle as Brewer, Blaauw and Zane Booth earned the points for their team.
Cal Lutheran will enjoy a week off from competition before traveling to Caltech Jan. 25 at 10:30 a.m. to face the Beavers in another dual meet.
