Then, junior Matt Sciumbato followed the next inning with a knock up the middle to bring home junior Ryne Yamashiro in the third.
A frame later, junior Cortez Espinoza notched an RBI single and senior Trevor Egan put the topper on the afternoon with a two-out single in the sixth for the Kingsmen's fourth and final run of the day. The 4-1 victory moves Cal Lutheran to 8-2 on the season and 6-1 against non-conference opponents.
In an effort to beat the rain, the Kingsmen return to the field tomorrow at 12 p.m. PST against the Drew Rangers inside Ullman Stadium.
