For ambitious student-athletes, CLU is an excellent choice because it combines outstanding academic offerings with very successful athletic programs. In fact, CLU's varsity teams enjoy so much success, a third of our teams win conference championships and compete in NCAA national playoffs every year. With support and encouragement of their coaches and academic services, CLU student-athletes also succeed in the classroom.

CLU sponsors 20 varsity teams. The violet and gold Kingsmen and Regals play in the academically prestigious Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), including such members as the California Institute of Technology, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, La Verne, Occidental College, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Redlands University and Whittier College.

CLU is also a member of the NCAA Division III, which means it is allowed to award financial aid based on academic merit and need only.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for financial aid in order to take full advantage of all funding opportunities. CLU endeavors to provide financial assistance to help students and families to make attendance at CLU affordable and fair.
