CLU Athletes of the Week

Men's Soccer
Chris Thompson earned back-to-back shutouts to start the 2007 men's soccer season, including a 4-0 win over NAIA Division I opponent Cal Baptist. The senior captain held opponents scoreless for the opening 229 minutes of the year and has allowed one goal (a penalty kick) in three games. Thompson has notched a 0.33 goals allowed per game average and holds a .900 save percentage (9-of-10) thus far. |

Volleyball
Junior setter Lindsey Benson stepped into the role as primary setter for the Regals and notched 42 assists in her opening match against Buena Vista (IA) University. She also record a team-high 3.5 blocks against Westmont to go along with 24 assists and a .800 set percentage (24-for-30).
