Regals Rally for 5-4 Win Over Whittier

Today on Hutton Field, the Cal Lutheran softball team hosted Whittier for the second and final SCIAC series of the spring between the two squads, again splitting the doubleheader with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory in game two after a tough 7-0 game one loss.

Kingsmen Stay Hot, Sweep Poets

The No. 13 Cal Lutheran baseball team stretched its streak to 14 in a row with a pair of wins over Whittier on Saturday afternoon at Ullman Stadium. In game one, the Kingsmen cruised to a 5-1 victory before a come-from-behind 7-4 victory in game two.

Playing on the Poulson Tennis Center Courts for the final time in the four-year careers of seniors Shelby Kubota and Emily Werman, the Cal Lutheran women’s tennis team worked to an 8-1 SCIAC victory over Occidental this morning.

The bigger road is not always the best road and Cal Lutheran junior baseball player Max Weinstein is glad he made that realization. After starting his collegiate athletic career at the Division I level, he made the transition to CLU where he has found his niche and is able to focus on his academics while he plays the sport he loves in the competitive Division III environment.

Regals Fall Short in OT Thriller

For the second straight week, the Cal Lutheran women’s water polo team came up just short in overtime against a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent. On Wednesday afternoon at the Samuelson Aquatics Center, Pomona-Pitzer edged the Regals 6-5, converting two goals in the final overtime period to steal the win.

Kingsmen End Season Strong on Senior Night

It was a sweet senior night for six Kingsmen student-athletes, as the Cal Lutheran men’s volleyball team defeated Moorpark College 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-15) inside Gilbert Arena for the final match of the year on Tuesday.
