Kingsmen Take Sixth Place at SCIAC Championships

The Cal Lutheran men’s track and field team came away with a sixth place finish after wrapping up the final day of the 2017 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships at Strehle Track at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday afternoon.

On the final day of the 2017 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Track and Field Championships at Pomona-Pitzer, the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team concluded the meet with a sixth place finish on Saturday afternoon at Strehle Track.

Regals Split Season Finale on Senior Day

The final day of the 2017 Cal Lutheran softball regular season was bittersweet for the Regals as a SCIAC Postseason Tournament berth was on the line. A split with Pomona-Pitzer, dropping the first 3-2 before earning a 6-4 victory on senior day, ultimately ended the season with a win and a tie for fourth place in the final standings, but a tiebreaker will leave the Regals out of postseason play.

Kingsmen Clinch Fifth Straight SCIAC Championship

With a one game lead over second-place La Verne entering Saturday, the No. 16 Cal Lutheran baseball team controlled its own destiny and swept Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to claim the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship for the fifth straight season and 14th overall in program history. The Kingsmen shut out the Stags 5-0 in game one before topping CMS 5-2 at George “Sparky” Anderson Field on Senior Day.

Guidetti Wins Long Jump on Opening Day of SCIAC Championships

Freshman Kendall Guidetti captured first place in the Long Jump and Kelsey Rouse earned All-SCIAC honors with a third place finish in the High Jump to highlight the first day of the 2017 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships for the Cal Lutheran women’s track and field team at Strehle Track on Friday afternoon.

Regals Down Athenas in Extras to Split

As the SCIAC softball season winds down, the Cal Lutheran softball team is battling for a Postseason Tournament berth. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps put a glitch in the quest today during a 9-0, five inning, loss in game one, but the Regals stormed back for a 2-1 extra-inning victory over the league leader to earn a split and avoid a season sweep to the Athenas.

Kingsmen Stunned by Stags

The final SCIAC series of the spring sent the ABCA No. 16 Cal Lutheran baseball team to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps where the Stags stunned the Kingsmen with a 5-4 walk-off victory to make the final day of the regular season more interesting.

Gray Shares Individual 2017 SCIAC Title

For the last three days, the Cal Lutheran men’s golf team has been competing at the 2017 SCIAC Championships where senior Nate Gray clinched a share of the individual title while the Kingsmen placed fifth overall among the eight league sponsoring schools.
