RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - The Cal Lutheran women's golf team placed third at its first ever conference competition at Empire Lakes Golf Course. Brenna Callero led the Regals on Friday afternoon with an 88 (+16) during the first of four regular season league rounds.

Complete results were not available at the time of release.

Emily Hnath (91), Emily Bullen (95) and Chloe Colón (97) round out the four players contributing to the team's total score of 371 (+83). Lisa Borgialli finished with a 108.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps shot 313 as a team and won by 20 strokes over runner-up Redlands. In the latest GolfStat rankings, CMS is No. 10 and UR No. 15 in the nationl. CLU came in third and Pomona-Pitzer finished fourth. Occidental did not have enough individuals to qualify for a team score.

Cal Lutheran will host the next conference round on Thursday, Feb. 23, at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo, Calif.
