Track and Field Competes at CMS, UCI
Anderson moves into nation's top-10 in heptathlon
On Friday at the Claremont Multi-Event, Casey Anderson improved her career best in the heptathlon scoring 4,315 points. The mark not only is second best in school history but also ranks her top-10 in the nation in the heptathlon.
Kingsmen Scott Jones improved his season best by nearly 200 points in the decathlon racking up 5,814 total. The mark was just 186 away from the NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark and 143 from the CLU all-time top10.
CLU athletes Brett Cornejo, Kyle Hansen, Peter Vermillion Christa Youngern each competed at the Steve Scott Invitational hosted by UC Irvine on Saturday.
Each competed in individual events but could not improve on their respective season best marks. Both the men’s and women’s 4x100 meter relays were just tenths of a second off its 2008 best mark.
Cal Lutheran is set to compete at the Occidental Invitational on Saturday, May 10 starting at 1 p.m.
