Honolulu, Hawaii - A second straight day of competitive men's basketball games at the 2014 Surf's Up Classic hosted at Kalani High School hosted by Cal Lutheran saw Puget Sound defeat the host Kingsmen 63-52 in the first contest of the day before the final tournament game went to Pacific over Luther by a score of 60-55.

The squads went into the intermission separated by one with the Loggers holding a 29-28 advantage. The second stanza featured large gaps on both sides with CLU taking a nine-point upper hand at the 13:06 mark before UPS chipped away and used an 11-1 run to shift the momentum and close out the 11-point win.

In the second game, Pacific opened a 33-20 halftime lead, though the Norse chipped away and made things close down the stretch as Luther turned to Aaron Huber for a layup and Austin Cale for a three-pointer to close the gap to 59-55 with 15 ticks remaining. The Boxers would, however, hold on for the win.
Luther (2-3) got a 16-point game from Huber with both Cody Kliethermes and Jake Martin netting 10. Four different players had a pair of assists apiece in the loss. Defensively, Martin nearly locked in a double-double with eight rebounds, four at each end of the court, and Cory Schultz recorded a trio of blocks.
