LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Brandon Gross, Carter Baldwin and Danny Mock of the Cal Lutheran men's water polo team were named to the 2011 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Team earlier this month.

Official Release: All-SCIAC Team

Gross, a four-year senior utility player, becomes only the second player in program history to earn All-SCIAC First Team honors three times, doing so from 2009-11. Matt Heagy was the first earning three straight first team selections from 2006-08.

Gross finished his senior campaign with a team-high 77 goals and 33 drawn exclusions. He leaves as the program's second leading scorer with 199 goals, and ranks in the top-eight in assists, steals and drawn exclusions.

Baldwin, a junior two-meter player, earns his first conference honor after leading the team with 53 steals. He did it all for the Kingsmen contributing 21 goals, 26 assists and 24 drawn exclusions in 2011.

Mock, a junior goaltender, became the team's primary starting keeper early on in the season. He led the conference's best scoring defense which allowed only 68 goals in 10 games. Mock made 189 saves in 20 starts and held the opposition to just over eight goals per game on the season.

CMS senior Brian Chong was named the SCIAC Player of the Year. Pomona-Pitzer freshman Stephen Vent was named SCIAC Newcomer of the Year.

Cal Lutheran finished the season with a program record 15 wins. The Kingsmen finished 6-4 in conference play and fourth in the SCIAC standings.
