California Lutheran University men's water polo players Scott Bredesen and Matt Heagy each earned Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III All-American selections, released in late December.

The California Lutheran University Fall Athletic Teams this season earned a pair of SCIAC Co-Championships, had 30 student-athletes earn spots on All-SCIAC teams and four were named as the conference athlete of the week.

The California Lutheran University men’s water polo team landed a pair of Kingsmen on the 2007 All-SCIAC men’s water polo team in sophomore Matt Heagy and senior goalkeeper Quinten Beckmann. In the national rankings which include Divisions I, II, III and NAIA institutions, Heagy's 78 goals placehim seventh in the nation and Beckmann's 193 saves put him 15th in the country.

Water Polo Finishes Fourth in SCIAC

The California Lutheran University men’s water polo team concluded the 2007 SCIAC tournament on Sunday with an 11-9 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the third place game in Redlands. Scott Bredesen led the team against the Stags scoring three goals.

The California Lutheran University water polo team lost to top seeded Redlands 11-8 in the semi-finals of the SCIAC Tournament on Saturday night at Redlands. The loss places the Kingsmen in the third place game on Sunday set for 12:45 pm.

The California Lutheran University men’s water polo team kicked off the SCIAC Tournament with a 15-9 victory over Occidental on Friday night in Redlands. Jeff Chaney and Scott Bredesen led the way for the Kingsmen with three goals apiece.

Kingsmen Close Out Regular Season With Win

The California Lutheran University men’s water polo team got a goal from freshman Wesley Lewis with two seconds remaining in overtime and came away with a 13-12 win over La Verne in its regular season finale. CLU overcame a one goal deficit with two minutes left in the overtime period in its last home game this season.

CLU Cruises Past Whittier, 11-6

The California Lutheran University men’s water polo team won its 10th game of the season at home on Wednesday afternoon defeating Whittier College, 11-6. The Kingsmen defense led by Quinten Beckmann and his 12 blocks held the Poets to just three goals in the first 25 minutes of play before easing to a five-goal win.
