Two years ago Cody Jones had never touched a Javelin. A lot has changed in a short time for the current Cal Lutheran junior. Today he will board a plane to Doha, Qatar for the Track & Field Paralympic World Championships as part of Team USA.

Competing at the United States Paralympic Track & Field Championships at Hamline University earlier this summer, Cal Lutheran sophomore Cody Jones won the F38 category Javelin competition with a throw of 40.33m.

Announced earlier this week by the league office, Cal Lutheran landed 35 student-athletes on the 2015 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Spring All-Academic Team. 

Learfield Directors' Cup Standings Announced

At the conclusion of each academic and athletic year the school with the most combined championships points in Division III is honored with the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. In 2014-15 Cal Lutheran was one of eight SCIAC schools to appear in the final standings as announced on June 4.
