CLU Finishes Third in SCIAC Following Win Over Sagehens
Giuffrida, Wetterholm and Hunt earn all-conference honors
REDLANDS, Calif. - It marked the seventh time in the past eight season the
Cal Lutheran men's tennis team finished third or better in the SCIAC standings
following its 6-3 victory over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday in the conference championships
third place match-up.
Paul Wetterholm, Ryan Lassila and John Karsant went 2-for-2 on the day in
capturing a second straight third place league finish.
The No. 27 Kingsmen finish the season with 16-7, 7-3 SCIAC mark earning the
most overall wins since the 2005 campaign.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps defeated Redlands 8-1 in the title match to capture
the SCIAC crown.
Andrew Giuffrida and Wetterholm were named to the All-SCIAC First Team with
Forrest Hunt selected to All-SCIAC Second Team.
