Kingsmen Dive into New Season

After a second consecutive fourth-place finish in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) standings last year, the Cal Lutheran men’s swimming and diving team hopes to move up the ranks after returning 11 student-athletes and adding 12 newcomers for the 2016-17 season.

2015-16: A Year in Review

The 2015-16 academic year was a memorable one for the Cal Lutheran athletics department. With 430 student-athletes occupying 460 roster spots, a number of milestones were met including the first NCAA Division III National title in school history, which was achieved by the women’s volleyball team, and an individual national champion crowned to round out the year.

Throughout the school year, much of the day-to-day focus is directed towards the successes of the Cal Lutheran athletics programs, but on Saturday, May 7, a group of 150 student-athletes, with their families and friends, gathered inside of the Gilbert Arena for the 13th CLU Scholar-Athlete Society Induction ceremony where academics were praised. 

Cal Lutheran to Participate in Fifth Annual Division III Week

During the week of April 4-10, all members will host Division III Week, aimed at celebrating what those schools have to offer student-athletes in the classroom, in the field of play and in the community during the 42nd year of the NCAA.

California Lutheran University has entered into an agreement with the Los Angeles Rams to allow the team to base its training operations on the university’s Thousand Oaks campus for at least two years.

Announced on Thursday by the league office, six members of the men’s swimming and diving team, Jack Acampora, Jonah Hobbs, Zach Loza, Thelen McKinna-Worrell, Lucas Reddell and Zach Zamecki, earned All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) honors for their strong performance at the 2016 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships last weekend.

Reddell Wraps Up Career Representing CLU at NCAA Diving Regionals

Hobbs Defends 1650 SCIAC Title; CLU Places Fourth

Cal Lutheran men’s swimming and diving team placed fourth at the 2016 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships for the second straight year and Jonah Hobbs swam his way to his second 1650 freestyle title to lead the way on the final day of competition at Splash! La Mirada.

Another solid day of competition for the Cal Lutheran men’s swimming and diving team on the third day of the 2016 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships saw a new school record in the 400 Medley Relay while both Zach Loza and Lucas Reddell reeled in individual All-SCIAC honors.
