Cal Lutheran to Participate in Fourth Annual Division III Week

Cal Lutheran is one of 450 Division III institutions around the country. During the week of April 6-12, all members will host Division III Week, aimed at celebrating what those schools have to offer student-athletes in the classroom, in the field of play and in the community during the 41st year of the NCAA.

Hanson Honored with SCIAC Distinguished Service Award

Announced recently by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) office, Dr. Paul Hanson of Cal Lutheran has been honored as the 2015 Distinguished Service Award recipient. Dr. Hanson has served as the Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) for close to 20 years, sharing his depth of experience and wisdom with the SCIAC and helped to forge the course for Division III athletics in Southern California.

Six Kingsmen Earn All-SCIAC

Announced today by the league office, six members of the Cal Lutheran men’s swimming and diving team have earned All-SCIAC honors after placing among the top three in an event at the SCIAC Championships from Feb. 19-22.

Brem Concludes Career at Regionals

Ryan Brem was one of 71 men to compete at the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28, marking the second straight season he represented Cal Lutheran on the National stage. The senior was one of nine student-athletes to qualify for the Zone 2 Regionals hosted by Trinity University.

Hobbs Wins 1650 Title; Overall Kingsmen Knock Down 16 Records

As the 2015 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships came to a close inside of the Lillian Slade Aquatics Center on Sunday, the Cal Lutheran men’s team matched its highest finish in school history by placing fourth with a total of 530 points.

The defending SCIAC men's 1-meter diving champion, James Stevick from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps set a new SCIAC and Championships Meet record to once again capture the conference title at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at the Lillian Slade Aquatics Center on Sunday.
