Kahovec, Reed Earn All-Region Accolades

USTFCCCA recognizes CLU harriers for their efforts at NCAA West Regional

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Senior Toccoa Kahovec and junior Evan Reed received All-Region recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) based upon their respective finishes at the 2011 NCAA West Regional.

Nearly 560 athletes from across the country were honored by the USTFCCCA, runners who finished in the top 35 individually at one of the nine regional events received All-Region recognition.

Kahovec led all Regals runners with her sixth-place time of 21:51.0; Reed's 26.21.3 effort at the Pomona-Pitzer campus course helped him capture 29th place - the highest individual finish of any Kingsmen harrier at the event.

A total of 17 women and 16 men from SCIAC schools were honored by the USTFCCCA for their efforts at this season's West Regional.
