CLU Holds off Gallaudet
Kingsmen win streak now at four

PASADENA, Calif. - The California Lutheran University men's basketball team traveled to the campus of Caltech and defeated Gallaudet (DC) University on Wednesday afternoon, 81-69. The Kingsmen built a 24 point halftime lead and survived a late run by the Bison extending its win streak to four games.
Four different players scored in double figures with Andy Meier leading the way, for the third straight game, with a season-high 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds recording his first double-double of the year. Fellow sophomore Kyle Knudsen hit 4-of-8 three pointers to score 20 points, marking the third time he has scored 20+ points in his young Kingsmen career.
Senior Deshion Inniss added 13 points and dished out six assists. Chad Acerboni was one assist shy of a double-double while scoring 10 points.
The Bison made near half of its shot attempts (25-52) as Onye Davis led the way sinking 9-of-14 shots to score 20 points. Jon Mowl and Chi Ming Pun added 14 and 13, respectively.
Cal Lutheran (5-1) will return home to host the 2007-2008 Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Tournament starting on Saturday, December 29 at 6 pm. The two-day four team tournament brings the Kingsmen opening game opponent Concordia (WI) University, along with Bethany Lutheran (MN) College and Gettysburg (PA) College.
