Cal Lutheran Athletics is proud to announce its participation in the inaugural NCAA Division III Week, April 9-15, which has celebrated academic achievement, athletic accomplishment, leadership and community service among CLU student-athletes.
It started in a little room in the humanities building. It eventually moved to the Lundring Events Center, where everyone assumed it would remain for many years. But the numbers just kept increasing, so this year's Cal Lutheran Scholar-Athlete Society induction banquet had to be held in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center.
On Wednesday, Apr. 6 institutions of higher learning will celebrate student-athletes across the country as part of National Student-Athlete Day. The program of the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS), has been celebrated annually on this date since 1987.

Trailing by six at halftime the junior varsity CLU men's basketball team used a 52-point second half effort to earn its first road victory of the season 78-67 over the Vanguard JV squad on Thursday night. Matt Kitagawa scored 13 second half points in aiding the Kingsmen comeback.
The CLU junior varsity men's basketball team earned an 83-79 victory over American Sports University inside Gilbert Arena on Thursday, Jan. 20. Matt Nolan's 27-point effort paced the Kingsmen offense in the team's second victory over the past three games.
Public safety officials and athletes from several Conejo Valley schools are participating in "The Give Back" basketball game at Los Cerritos Middle School in Thousand Oaks to raise money for a local food bank.
