Eddie Villegas was hired as an assistant coach for Kingsmen baseball in June of 2018. He will also serve as the catching coach.
Villegas as part of the 2017 National Championship team. The first national championship in the program's history. As a junior transer from Los Angeles Harbor College, he earned Second Team All-SCIAC in 2016. He also helped lead the Kingsmen to first-place in the SCIAC, a conference championship a regional bid. He had a batting average of .355 on the year.
Villegas played high school baseball at St. John Bosco and went on to play two years at LA Harbor. He then transferred into Cal Lutheran and played his final two years for the Kingsmen. He graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
Villegas is originally from Long Beach and now resides in Thousand Oaks.
