Trever Wood enters his 3rd season as an assistant football coach at Cal Lutheran, coaching the receivers and select special teams positions. 

Wood graduated from Westlake High School in 2011 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Cal Lutheran in 2016. He played football and ran track for the Kingsmen. Currently, ranks at number 9 on the CLU all-time list for the 110m hurdles at 15.09.

While playing football, Wood emerged as the team’s top deep threat at wide receiver in 2015. He started all nine games and led the Kingsmen with 390 yards on 23 receptions. He caught three passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the season-opener against Pacific Lutheran. Also, he eclipsed the century mark with 110 yards on seven catches and a touchdown against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. 

His favorite memories at Cal Lutheran were, not only,  catching the opening play for a touchdown against Pacifc Lutheran his senior year, but also, catching the game-winning touchdown in the same game. Two years later in 2017, his brother caught the game winning interception against Pacific Lutheran. Wood was a coach at the time.
