Track & Field
Troy Kuretich earned All-American status in five Track and Field events in his career at California Lutheran University and qualified for the Track and Field National Championships in all four seasons.
As a freshman, he qualified for nationals in the long jump and as a member of the 4 x 100 relay team and, in his sophomore year, was invited back to participate in the 100-meter, 200-meter, long jump and the 4 x 100 relay. One year later, he returned to the national stage in the same four events and earned his first recognition as an all-American after a fifth place finish in the long jump.
As a senior, he earned all-American status in four events finishing in second place in the long jump, second place in the 100-meter, third place in the 200-meter and fifth place in the 4 x 100 relay. Kuretich was a member of the 1987 NAIA District 3 Championship Track and Field team.
That same year, he set or helped set the school record in the 200-meter (20.98 s), long jump (7.35 m), 4 x 100 relay (41.21 s) and the 4 x 400 relay (3:12.82) all of which remained as the top in CLU history at the time of his induction.
