Don Weeks '78

Track & Field - High Jump

Years at Cal Lutheran: 1974-1978

In 1975, Don Weeks became the first California Lutheran College track and field athlete to qualify for and attend Nationals as a freshman. He went on to qualify and compete at Nationals all four years. He was the NAIA District 3 high jump champion as a junior with a jump of 2.08 meters and as a senior with a jump of 2.10 meters.

At the time of his induction in 2005, he still held the school high jump record at 2.13 meters set in 1977. That year he was ranked number 1 in the nation in NCAA Division III and was named an NCAA Division III National All-American.

During his four years as a Kingsman, the track and field team never lost a dual meet.
