The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen put up a fight against the No. 3 Kean Cougars, but ultimately fell 4-3 after too many missed opportunities during a Wednesday matinee on George "Sparky" Anderson Field at Ullman Stadium.

Baseball Bounces Back with Game Two Win for Split in California Invitational

Eastern Connecticut State used a three run rally in the ninth to steal a 7-5 victory over CLU in game one of the California Invitational today. In game two the Kingsmen bounced back to defeat Puget Sound 5-2.

Baseball Wins One at Redlands

The baseball team used a late surge on Saturday morning to earn a 6-5 game one victory over Redlands in league play. Unfortunately, the rubber game of the series went to the Bulldogs by a 9-1 margin at The Yard.

A back-and-forth battle came down to the final inning on Friday afternoon at "Sparky" Anderson Field. Cal Lutheran trailed by four in the eighth and put the tying runner on base in the ninth, but fell short by an 8-7 margin to Redlands.

Under clear blue skies, the Cal Lutheran baseball team swept a pair of league games from Whittier at Memorial Field. The Kingsmen controlled the momentum throughout the course of the day, defeating the Poets 6-1 and 9-6.

Slimak Secures 500th Win Against Poets

Marty Slimak has headed the Kingsmen for 19 seasons. Today, Cal Lutheran's 3-1 victory over Whittier in league action was the 500th of his career. A standout pitching performance from his go-to senior, Byron Minnich, clinched the win and the milestone.

Cal Lutheran used a pair of comeback efforts on Saturday to defeat Pomona-Pitzer by 6-5 and 3-2 scores at "Sparky" Anderson Field. Nick DeLorenzo went 5-for-7 and provided the game-winning home run in game two.
