Kristi McGee

Water Polo

Kristi McGee led the Regals to a fourth place finish at the SCIAC Championships thanks in big part to a huge opening game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The junior center defender scored six goals in a thrilling 9-8, double overtime victory to send CLU back to the semifinal round for the first time since 2010. She added one of the two assists and had both two steals and two drawn ejections. On Saturday, during the semifinal round, she led the way with three steals and shared the team-lead with two goals, adding a drawn ejection as well. During the season finale, McGee tallied two more goals with a steal. Overall, she scored 10 goals with six steals, three drawn ejections, one assist and one field block for the Regals.

Cheynne Giles

Cheynne Giles had a standout week at the plate, helping the Kingsmen go 4-0 while boasting a .467 batting average (7-for-15) with two homeruns, five RBIs and six runs scored. In a non-conference matchup against Shepherd University, Giles blasted his second homerun of the year, and second in as many games, before adding another against Caltech on Saturday. Against the Beavers, Giles collected six hits in 10 at-bats to help CLU to a series sweep.
