Nicole Neumann


Nicole Neumann earned a spot in the starting lineup against Principia (Ill.) on Tuesday, March 15 and has not lost at No. 6 singles since; adding a pair of 8-3 doubles victories in her only two appearances; going 4-0. At home on Tuesday she cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win. Versus Wheaton (Mass.) on Thursday the sophomore earned a third set tiebreaker (4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8)) and she followed up on the East Coast against Division II Eckerd (Fla.) on Saturday with another tiebreaker victory, winning 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8). On Monday, she worked her way to a quick 6-1, 6-2 win at Southeastern (Fl.) and clinched match for CLU and the Regals’ fifth straight team victory.

Ramsey Abushahla


Ramsey Abushahla batted .563 (9-for-16) with 10 runs scored, seven RBI’s, a double, triple and homerun to help the Kingsmen go 2-2 during their Arizona road trip. The senior right fielder started the trip with a 2-for-3 performance against Wesleyan (Conn.) that included a two-run homerun and he followed it up by going 2-for-2 with three runs scored in a 15-3 win over Concordia (Wis.). In a 14-10 victory against Hamline, Abushahla added two more hits with two RBI’s and two runs scored. In the final game of the weekend, Abushahla went 3-for-5 at the plate to extend his hitting streak to 12 games.
