Chelsea Jacoby


Chelsea Jacoby surpassed 1,000 career points in just three seasons with the Cal Lutheran women’s basketball team and helped the Regals advance to their second consecutive SCIAC Postseason Tournament title game. In the final regular season game against Whittier, Jacoby scored 10 points to break the 1,000-point barrier while adding six rebounds, five assists and two steals. In the SCIAC PST Semifinals, Jacoby led a big second half comeback to defeat Chapman while filling up the stat sheet once again with nine points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block. In the SCIAC final, Jacoby led CLU with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field. 

Chad Clark


Chad Clark batted .600 (6-for-10) with five runs scored and two RBI’s to help the Kingsmen go 2-1 and win their SCIAC opening series against Chapman. The senior second basemen went 2-for-4 in the series opener on Friday and his base hit in the fourth inning broke up the Panthers no-hitter. In Saturday’s doubleheader on the road, Clark had two hits in both games and scored a game-high three runs in an 11-1 victory in the nightcap. 

Michael Bassette

Track & Field

For the third time in four meets this season, senior Michael Bassette won the Shot Put event after tossing a personal best distance of 16.93m at the Rossi Relays Invitational over the weekend and his mark now ranks second all-time in CLU history. Bassette also placed in the top-10 in the Hammer Throw (46.83m) and the Discus (42.16m).
