Michelle Lawrence

Volleyball

Michelle Lawrence was named the Thousand Oaks Regional Most Outstanding Player after leading the Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team to victories against No. 8 Colorado College, No. 12 UT Dallas and No. 1 Washington-St. Louis in the 2015 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Tournament over the weekend. The 6-foot-3 outside hitter totaled 36 kills, 31 digs and 12 total blocks in the three matches including a 13-kill, 12-dig double-double in the final against WashU. After the Regals dropped the second set against the Bears to even the score 1-1, Lawrence came out on fire in the third set with seven kills to propel the Regals to a crucial third set victory. In the opening round against Colorado College, Lawrence finished with 10 kills, seven digs and four blocks and came through with another 13-kill, 12-digs performance against UT Dallas.   


Shea Craig

Water Polo

Shea Craig scored the game-winning goal in a 7-6 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) victory over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday morning. The senior from Newbury Park, Calif. posted up outside the five-meters on a counter attack with under one minute remaining in the game. AJ Franklin entered the ball to Craig, who broke away from the defender and skipped the ball into the cage for the score.
