McKay Weiler


McKay Weiler was crowned the individual champion at the CMS Invitational this past weekend after carding a 36-hole score of 149 (+9) and leading Cal Lutheran to a first place finish. After opening the tournament with a first round 77, the senior from Monrovia, Calif. came on strong on day two and shot the best round of the invite with a 72. Weiler’s total of 149 was the lowest tournament score of her career. Weiler also had a strong showing in the beginning of the week, finishing tied for third overall with a two-day score of 158 (+14), and leading the Regals to a second place finish at the Al Jones Memorial Invitational in Texas.

Water Polo

Zack Card had a huge weekend helping the Kingsmen to a 3-1 record at the Gary Troyer Tournament. The junior attacker totaled 13 goals, five steals, four field blocks, three assists and two drawn ejections over four games which included an upset over Division I George Washington. After opening the tournament with two goals in a 19-10 victory over Washington & Jefferson, Card poured in five goals including the game-winner in a 12-11 win against George Washington. To wrap up the weekend, the Burbank, Calif. native came through with five more goals in a 16-13 double-overtime win against La Verne.
