Jamie Smith


Jamie Smith helped the No. 5 Regals volleyball team start the season on a strong note with a 3-1 finish at the Pacific Coast Classic. The sophomore setter from San Diego, Calif. totaled 142 assists in the four games while also adding 11 kills, 23 digs, four block-assists and two service aces. In the season-opener against Puget Sound, Smith tallied 33 assists and was a perfect 4-for-4 on kill attempts. In a 3-0 win over LeTourneau, Smith posted a career-high 46 assists and recorded a double-double after posting 12 digs.  In the final two games of the tournament, Smith racked up 63 more assists and finished with an overall average of 10.14 assists per set. 

Zack Card

Water Polo

Zack Card led the Kingsmen in scoring with eight goals over four games during their opening weekend at the United States Naval Academy Open. Facing top-tier Division I programs, Card managed to score a goal in every game, starting with the season-opener against Princeton. After adding a goal apiece against Johns Hopkins and Navy, the junior from Burbank, Calif. scored five goals on six attempts to lead CLU to its first win of the season over Connecticut College, 10-8. He also led the team with four steals in the game and added a field block for good measure.
