Coltrane Powdrill


Coltrane Powdrill continued his outstanding debut season as he averaged 29.5 points per game this week, guiding CLU versus both Chapman and Whittier. Against the Panthers, Powdrill scored a career-high 32 points, including 20-for-23 free-throw performance. He also hauled in nine rebounds, grabbed two steals and had a block. On Saturday night, Powdrill led the Kingsmen to a crucial 82-75 road victory over Whittier by scoring 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting (67%) and snaring 11 rebounds. For the season, Powdrill is the SCIAC’s third leading scorer, going for better than 18 points per game.

Sheyenne Machida

Swimming & Diving

For the second time in as many meets senior Sheyenne Machida broke her own CLU school record on the diving boards. By posting a 223.00 on the three-meter board this weekend she increased the record she set on Jan. 18 by 2.1 points to earn first place against both Caltech and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. On the one-meter board she was just shy of 200-points with a 199.72 and has already reached a provisional NCAA Division III qualifying mark on the lower board.
