Aaron Roth


Aaron Roth threw 6.1 innings in three appearances during a series sweep over Occidental. On Friday he came into the game with a runner on first and no one out in the top of the seventh, going on to retire nine batters in order, striking out three, to pick up his third win of the season in a 5-3 CLU victory. Saturday in game one, a 10-3 win, he came in with runners at first and second for the final out of the game, a strike out. The series finale called upon the junior again, for 3.0 innings of work in a 6-0 shutout. Roth earned his fourth save of the season as he recorded four of his nine outs by way of the K. Overall he allowed two hits and zero runs while striking out eight as he extended his scoreless innings streak to 18 and lowered his ERA to 1.91 for the season.

Kelly Lockwood


Kelly Lockwood was perfect at the plate and in the field in a split with Pomona-Pitzer on the diamond this weekend. Her 7-for-7 performance included a pair of homeruns and a double, for a 2.000 slugging percentage. In the first game she was 4-for-4 with two HRs and two singles, driving in all three CLU runs in the 4-3 loss. In the nightcap she was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk and scored the winning run in a 3-2 victory. Additionally, Lockwood played errorless softball at shortstop in 14 innings.

Melissa Skiba

Track & Field

Melissa Skiba etched her name into the CLU record books again at Occidental Distance Carnival over the weekend, breaking a 34-year old mark in the 5K by 35.77 seconds. Her time of 17:15.47 was a five second improvement to her personal best and earned her a fifth place finish in a field of 100. She was the top Division III runner across the line by 10 seconds.
