Mimi Harbach


Mimi Harbach won three individual events at the Cal Lutheran swim meet this weekend for the second consecutive week. She won the 1650 by more than a minute, finishing the mile in 18:26.42. The junior went on to win the 500 free by nearly five seconds in 5:16.04 and concluded her hat-trick with a win in the 200 free, finishing in 1:59.78.

Starla Wright


SCIAC Athlete of the Week

Starla Wright propelled CLU to a 2-0 week with wins over Whittier and La Verne to claim sole possession of first place in the SCIAC Standings. The senior averaged 30.0 points per game, shooting 82.1 percent from the floor adding 18 total rebounds, a pair of steals and an assist. Wright poured in 34 points on 15-for-20 shooting against the Leopards on Saturday in the 110-95 victory. She grabbed eight boards and proved her leadership on the court. Earlier in the week during a 72-52 road win, Wright was nearly perfect from the floor, shooting 8-for-8, with a 9-for-10 performance from the free-throw line to tally 26 points. She added 10 rebounds for a double-double. In each game she came away with four offensive rebounds for the Regals.

Corey Quintana


Corey Quintana averaged 19.5 points per game as the Kingsmen went 1-1 this week in SCIAC action. In a road win over Whittier he poured in 19 with nine rebounds in just 26 minutes. He single handedly staged a 53-43 come-from-behind victory. The freshman recorded three blocks with a steal and an assist against the Poets as he was 4-for-4 at the charity stripe. On Saturday in a tough one-point, 52-51, loss he scored a career-high 20 points, shooting 54.5 percent from the floor with three three-pointers. He came down with five rebounds and recorded a block.
