Adam Hayes

Men's Track & Field

Hayes became the first Kingsmen in program history to throw the discus over 50 meters during his win at the SCIAC Quad No. 2 meet. He outclassed a field with his effort of 52.16 meters, improving on his personal best by nearly 2.5 meters.

Hayes also finished third in the hammer and fourth in the shot put as Cal Lutheran earned a dual win over Pomona-Pitzer and nearly knocked off Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Julea Juarez

Women's Track & Field

Juarez played a big role in Cal Lutheran remaining unbeaten in SCIAC competition following wins over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer at SCIAC Quad No. 2.

Juarez went 4-for-4 winning the 200 meters, 400 meters, and anchored both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay squads. Her effort included two new school records in the 200 (25.39) and the 4x100 relay (48.11).

The team's 4x400 time of 3:59.36 was the second fastest in CLU history third squad to finish in under four minutes. Juarez's mark in the 400 meters was just off her personal best and still would have ranked second all-time in CLU history.
