Jayvaughn Nettles

Men's Basketball

Nettles played all 40 minutes and scored a team-high 19 points in a 65-59 win over Redlands in the team's final home game of the regular season. He went 4-for-10 from three, and also collected three steals and five rebounds.

The victory continued a 21-game win streak of home conference wins over Redlands, dating back to the 1991-92 season when Cal Lutheran joined the SCIAC.

Against nationally ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Nettles went for 10 points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist. He connected on 3-of-7 3-pointers and went 7-for-17 over the past two games.

Nettles leads the team with 38 made 3-pointers and 25 steals this season. He also ranks second on the team averaging 9.9 points and third with 3.7 rebounds per game.

Erica Whitley

Women's Basketball

Whitley contributed 19 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, and four assists during a one-point loss to Redlands on Feb. 18. She played 33 minutes and knocked down three 3-pointers on the night. Earlier in the week against Occidental she collected six points, four rebounds, two steals and an assist in 26 minutes of floor time.

Despite missing six games this season she leads the team with 130 rebounds and 39 steals. Whitley ranks second with 46 assists and fourth with 159 points.

Cal Lutheran qualified for the SCIAC Post-Season Tournament starting on Thursday, Feb. 23. The Regals will travel to Occidental for a 7:30 p.m. start.
