Nicholas Ballou/Ray Worley

Men's Tennis

The Kingsmen doubles team advanced to the finals of the United States/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (USTA/ITA) National Small College Doubles Championships on Friday, Oct. 14.

Ballou and Worley won their first two matches in straight sets to advance to the finals. They were up a set and 4-3 in the second before falling in three sets.


Toccoa Kahovec

Women's Cross Country

Senior Toccoa Kahovec finished in third place at the SCIAC Cross Country Multi-Duals at La Mirada Park. She led a Regals squad that defeated three of seven SCIAC opponents on Saturday morning.

Kahovec finished the 6k course in 22:29.57 to take third overall. Her final time was under 15 seconds behind runner-up Jennifer Tave of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Anne Lydens of Pomona-Pitzer won the individual crown in a time of 21:46.32.

SCIAC Athlete of the Week

The reigning SCIAC Player of the Year scored two goals total and had an assist in each of No. 15 Cal Lutheran's three road shutouts this past week against Redlands, Mills and UC Santa Cruz.

On Sunday against the Banana Slugs she scored the game-winning goal just 50 seconds into the game and provided the assist via corner kick on the other Regals goal.

Vaughan scored once and assisted on another as CLU scored a program-record 16 goals during a shutout win over Mills Vaughan has 11 assists this season ranking No. 6 in all of Division III through games completed this past Sunday. Ten of those 11 assists have come over the past nine games.
