Aaron Van Klaveren

Men's Basketball

Cal Lutheran used a career-high 20 rebound performance, along with 14 points from Aaron Van Klaveren to defeat Redlands by a 72-64 margin on Saturday. The victory puts the Kingsmen back in contention for a SCIAC Tournament playoff spot and knocks the Bulldogs out of first place in the regular season conference standings.

With the effort, the junior big man became just the eighth player in program history to grab 600-plus boards for a career. He also moved into seventh all-time in blocked shots, currently at 64 and counting.

Van Klaveren averaged a double-double with 10.5 points and 14.5 rebounds against the top two teams in the SCIAC (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Redlands) this past week.
