Daniel Mosier


SCIAC Athlete of the Week

In his initial action with the Kingsmen football team, junior running back Daniel Mosier became the first CLU player to rush for over 200 yards in a game since Nov. 4, 1995.

Mosier totaled 202 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries to lead the Kingsmen to a come-from-behind upset victory over No. 4 Linfield on Saturday. In the fourth quarter alone Mosier went for 114 yards and two TDs including scoring runs of 45 and 49 yards, on only six carries.

CLU trailed 28-7 late in the second quarter when Mosier scored his first touchdown to cut the deficit to 14 at the half. In the fourth, the team trailing by one, the tailback reeled off his 45-yard score to give CLU the lead and on the very next possession he scored from 49 yards out to give the Kingsmen a two-touchdown lead and virtually seal the win.

Allison Kerr


SCIAC Athlete of the Week

Senior middle blocker Allison Kerr led the Regals volleyball team to a 4-0 record at its own Cal-Lu-fornia Invitational last weekend. She hit a team-best .441 in 14 sets and also led the club with 63 total kills and 14 block assists. Kerr helped the team at the service line as well with nine aces.

CLU's fourth victory of the tournament came against No. 16 Pacific Lutheran (WA) and Kerr stepped up in the five-set win with a career-high 24 kills as she hit .488 for the match to go along with three aces, seven digs and three block assists.

The middle tallied 17 kills against UC Santa Cruz, eight against Augustana (IL) and 14 in the matchup with Chapman.

Kristina Hulse

Women's Soccer

In three games this week CLU freshman Kristina Hulse of the women's soccer team helped lead the team to three victories and a 4-0 record to start the season.

On Saturday at Christopher Newport in Virginia the CLU forward netted a hat trick scoring in the seventh, 86th and 89th minute of the Regals win.

Five days earlier, playing at Texas-Tyler the freshman scored her first goal of the season and her collegiate career in the 85th minute.

Hulse is currently leading the Regals in the young season with four goals on 13 shots.
