During the decade the Cal
Lutheran softball team has posted five 20-plus win seasons and in 2003 the
Regals claimed the SCIAC Championship and an automatic berth into the NCAA
postseason. Over the 10-year span CLU softball accumulated 106 conference
victories and 189 wins overall.

The CLU athletics department will be honoring its finest athletes over the past 10 years by releasing Cal Lutheran All-Decade Teams throughout the upcoming summer. The reigning SCIAC Champion football team will be the first of 19 programs to have its all-decade team announced, schedule to be released on Monday, May 24.

The Cal Lutheran Scholar-Athlete Society held its annual
banquet on May 8 and inducted 91 student-athletes for achieving at
least a 3.4 cumulative GPA during the 2009-10 academic year. Seven CLU
senior athletes were honored after making their fourth appearance in as
many years.

the Cal Lutheran athletic programs were honored for their accomplishments at
the 2009-10 Student Athlete Recognition Event.

Cal Lutheran softball team members Emily Robertson and
Talia Ferrari were selected to the 2010 All Southern California Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Team, announced earlier today. Both Regals make
repeat appearances after earning spots on the all-conference list in 2009.

For the final time in 2010 the Cal Lutheran softball
team played on Hutton Field and concluded its season with 8-6 and 7-0 victories
over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday afternoon. Seniors Nikki Campbell, Lizzy Chacón,
Brittany Ordos and Emily Robertson adorned a Regals uniform for the last time
ending their respective collegiate careers on a winning note.

Talia Ferrari tossed a two-hit shutout and Megan
Clow launched a three-run homer as the Cal Lutheran softball team topped
Occidental 4-0 in game one of a home doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The
Tigers used a three-run sixth inning to take game one 3-1.

Behind the pitching of Talia Ferrari and the
bats of Ferrari, Katie Strang and Lizzie Novak the Cal Lutheran softball team
nabbed an 8-3 win in the second game of a road doubleheader on Saturday. The Poets
took the first game 7-4 and on Friday CLU was swept in its twinbill at No. 13
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
