Track and Field Starts Season at SBCC Opener
The Cal Lutheran men's and women's track and field teams got their respective 2010 seasons underway at the five-team Santa Barbara City College Opener held on Saturday. Combined CLU athletes notched eight first place finishes out of 37 events.

Seniors Secure Victory Over Whittier
The Cal Lutheran women's swimming and diving concluded its 2009-10 conference regular season schedule with a resounding 170-54 victory over Whittier on Saturday afternoon. The team recognized its graduating team members as part of "Senior Day" with Kelley Fry, Mikayla Avrea, Amanda Graves and Lauren Dakin competing in their final meet at the Samuelson Aquatics Center.

Midway through the first half the Cal Lutheran women's basketball team pulled away from the University of La Verne and held a double-digit lead the final 19 minutes of the game in a 75-43 victory in Gilbert Arena on Saturday night. Freshman Starla Wright led all scorers with 17 points and CLU secured a spot in the SCIAC Tournament with the win.

The Cal Lutheran men's basketball team defended its home floor against La Verne in front of a packed Gilbert Arena on Saturday night by a 77-73 margin. Aaron Van Klaveren and Andy Meier scored 20 points apiece in leading the Kingsmen to a second straight win and victories in three out of its last four.
